Here’s my take of the following college football stadiums, all of which I have personally visited:
Tiger Stadium (LSU): Loud, moist, stinky (in a good way), heavy, loud
Florida Field: Jet engine loud, hot as Hades (no air flow- a good thing), fans on top of the action, a deep-stinky hole
Jordan-Hare: Orange and blue pom-poms-non-stop shaking-heck when you’ve had a few too many

Neyland Stadium: Cavernous, endless, orange, distant

Beaver Stadium: Erector set, all over the place, over-sized high school feel (not a bad thing)
Orange Bowl: Shea Stadium of college football, rickety-rockety sweaty

Rutgers Stadium: Loud, green, unique

Goodman Stadium (Lehigh): new-old-school, picturesque, classic

Fisher Field (Lafayette): old-old-school, Ivy League-like, moldy wood (not a bad thing)

Vaught-Hemingway Stadium (Ole Miss): Rebel yell, syrupy, Old South

Doak Campbell (FSU): conjured, brickhouse, Federal

Ohio Stadium (OSU): Olympic, collosal, majestic
Memorial Stadium (Indiana): Mike Brady, That 70’s Show, concrete
![]()
Rubber Bowl (Akron): round, asphalt, benches, sink hole

No Big House only because these are stadiums I have actually been to. Unfortunately, I’ve never had the good fortune of visiting Michigan Stadium. Thanks for reading.

Lafayette’s stadium has undergone a $25 million renovation including the addition of the Bourger Varsity Football House. Beautiful!! Sorry, no more “moldy wood.” Please, come back for a visit.
